During her childhood, Sandi pursued gymnastics and dance and discovered that fitness was a perfect fit for her when she was required to work in the recreation field as part of her college diploma. COACH ANGELA
(Zumba/Group Fitness Instructor)

Angela has been teaching Zumba for just over three years now and came to us from North Bay! Angela says that Zumba was literally finding a piece of herself that she didn’t even know existed. Angela was built to teach Zumba no question about it. Her goal as an instructor is to give everyone a safe place where they can de-stress, a place where they can leave all of their problems on that dance floor. Angela LOVES teaching Zumba. It feeds her soul in a way that nothing else could. She says the finding this creative outlet that has led her to some of the most amazing humans I have ever met.

COACH AMANDA
(Group Fitness Instructor)

Not only is Amanda an educator and vice principal with Simcoe County District School Board, but she’s also a strong advocate for work-life balance, which includes her passion for fitness. After having her daughter, Amanda realized the importance of finding that sweet spot between work and personal life. Amanda’s journey towards fitness continued three years ago when she joined our gym as a member. As a former gym hopper and yo-yo dieter, she finally found her groove with us at The Transformation Station. The supportive community and the opportunity to explore different types of movement and mobility transformed her outlook on fitness. Driven by her dedication, Amanda took the leap from member to coach in order to support that work-life balance that she holds so dear. She’s tried her hand at coaching all of our classes as a Certified Group Fitness Instructor, bringing her unique blend of encouragement, comfort, and a friendly face to every session.

COACH MAYA
(Group Fitness Instructor)

Maya is familiar with the long haul journey with various obstacles and triumphs. However, everything changed for her when she found The Transformation Station, reigniting her passion for fitness and completely transforming her life. Like Christina, Maya understands the importance of the jouney- Maya has lost 75 pounds to date and continues to challenge herself for her personal bests both inside and outside of the gym. Maya has attained her certification in Group Fitness and is currently pursuing certifications in personal training, nutrition, and strength and conditioning with ISSA. Her main goal is to motivate and empower others, helping them ignite their love for a healthy lifestyle. Maya’s approach involves providing unwavering support to individuals throughout their wellness journey with her knowledge and understanding- both learned and experienced (which is worth its weight in gold!). She is enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

COACH NIKKI
(Group Fitness Instructor)

When it comes to fitness, Nikki embodies a wealth of experience. She understands determination and willpower required to start and sustain a fitness journey since starting her personal fitness journey at the young age of 17. This left no exercise unexplored and unexamined in terms of its effectiveness leading Nikki to excel as a group fitness instructor; skillfully leading weightlifting, HIIT classes, and spin classes with finesse in the past 8+ years. During her free time, when she’s not rescuing helpless kittens from trees, you can find Nikki tackling 60-100km distances on her bike, hiking 4000 feet mountains, working out with her friends and inspiring her peers at The Transformation Station.

METCON

Our most versatile class- Metcon (metabolic conditioning) are medium/high intensity functional fitness workouts using dumbbells, kettlebells, weighted balls, and other non-complex equipment. Each WOD (Workout Of the Day) varies in exercises. The workouts are different daily to keep the body guessing and progressing. Our Metcon coaches are sure to demonstrate and support you during this workout so you are confident in your exercises. These style of classes are more like group training and are designed by our internationally recongized head trainer, Christina. Our daily workouts are based on a timer- so each person can work to their personal best making Metcon suitable for beginners, and more experienced participants. You pick your tempo, inspired by yourself and also those around you. The beauty of Metcon is that it helps with losing inches, losing weight, toning, and getting fit all at the same time. (Nothing complicated- no handstands, backflips, etc.) and can be scaled/modified to be more simple, or harder! This class will have you leaving proud, and with an empty tank- within 40 minutes.

TOTAL BODY STRENGTH

Challenge yourself with your dumbbell weights in this steady paced class of lifting. This class operates using a time clock, so you can focus on your own capabilities with help from our trainers. We lift, followed by recovery rest, then we lift again!

No jumping or hopping exercises. Excellent for beginners, and/or those who need a push in the strength department, with being mindful of injuries such as back pain, plantar fasciitis, etc.

If you’re intimidated in the free-weight section, or wanting more direction- this class is for you. Suitable for beginners, and experienced lifters.

CIRCUIT

Our Circuit class works on endurance and power development in ways you won’t get with traditional strength training workouts. As our regular Metcon, this class works on a timer. We have set 30s Rounds with workload versus rest time. This style of training is similar to HIIT, High Intensity Interval Training, using battle ropes, punching pads, slam balls, and more.

New? The trainer will show you the ropes!

Zumba!

Zumba® is an interval-style dance fitness party that combines low-intensity and high-intensity moves. You’ll burn lots of calories as you move to the rhythm with Latin-inspired dance moves. The best part of it all is that it doesn’t even feel like exercise!
